Our client is one of Australia's largest mid-tier personal and business accounting firms, providing accounting, audit, financial advisory services, consulting, business services, and taxation to a broad range of Australian businesses.
The Role
We are currently seeking a Receptionist/Office Administrator to come on board and act as ‘the face’ of the business to ensure the office is operating in a professional, effective, and efficient manner.
In this role, you will gain excellent exposure to the operations of the business and external stakeholders. A fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and upbeat company with the possibility of a full-time role.
Duties will include:
- Phones (answering & screening calls, monitoring voicemail inbox)
- Managing the incoming and outgoing mail
- Reception & general office duties (greeting clients, managing meeting rooms, and building parking arrangements)
- Banking (cheque deposits, processing credit card EFTPOS payments)
- Disbursements
- Setting up new clients the various systems and updating their details as needed
- Kitchen management (maintaining kitchen, dishwasher, and coffee machine and kitchen, coffee & milk supplies)
- Printing, indexing, binding, and scanning
- System project work (database updating/template updating)
- Supporting the various business units with ad-hoc admin
About you:
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise to meet customer needs and deadlines
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- Interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to proactively identify and satisfy customer and staff needs to maintain harmonious relationships
- Microsoft Office including word and excel
- “Can do” attitude and happy to take on ad hoc tasks as required
- Prior experience in an accounting firm is desirable
- Experience with the ATO and ASIC portals is desirable
