About the Opportunity

As our newest Regional Account Manager, you will encourage the utilisation of Fonterra Foodservice Products by end users (cafes, restaurants etc) and distributors in Melbourne and Tasmania, to deliver budgeted volume targets. 

This will specifically include activating Channel Led Model within Foodservice End User customers by using key selling points, targeted product performance advantages and structured promotions that ultimately drive volume as well as offer dairy solutions.

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Build rapport and relationships quickly to turn cold call into order.
  • Prepare robust territory plans.
  • Follow selling processes and ensure each sales call is pre-planned.
  • Participate in Trade Shows.
  • Detail and leverage specific sales and marketing promotional activities.
  • Develop strong and lasting business relationships with key decision makers.
  • Management of selected distributor customers.

About You

We are after a passionate people person, with excellent attention to detail and someone who loves a challenge! 

You may have a chef background and are seeking work / life balance or have some sales experience under your belt and are looking for a role within a large organisation like Fonterra that offers excellent training and progression opportunities. 

You will be joining a well-established, capable, and intelligent team who will bring you up to speed quickly on the foodservice business in Fonterra. You will have an infectious energy, and enthusiastic focus on your work, as well as having an eye for detail and an understanding of working to urgent timeframes and conflicting deadlines. 

Other skills and experiences include:

  • Capable of implementing sales strategies, techniques, and applications.
  • Able to develop and implement sales plans with a customer base.
  • Intermediate level user of Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of Foodservice will be a plus, but we are happy to train!
