Who are we:
Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) is a body corporate constituted by the Greyhound Racing Act 2017 charged with providing strategic direction and leadership in the commercial management of greyhound racing in NSW. Its principal objectives are to exhibit a sense of social responsibility by having regard to the welfare of greyhounds, to promote greyhound racing in the State as a competitive and sustainable industry with a high level of public trust, and to ensure the sustainability and long-term commercial viability of greyhound racing for the benefit of participants, business partners and the community.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Regional Coordinator to oversee and manage greyhound rehoming and adoption across multiple locations within a region. The Regional Coordinator works closely with the Regional and USA Rehoming Manager to optimise the number of retired greyhounds re-homed via fostering or adoption across NSW and the USA in-line with industry, regulatory, organisational and strategic objectives. They will also ensure that all regional teams are working together effectively to achieve these goals.
Responsibilities:
- Optimise the number of retired greyhound re-homed via fostering and adoption across NSW and the USA according to industry, regulatory, organisation and strategic objectives.
- Developing and implement policies, procedures and systems to support the Regional Rehoming Program
- Conduct greyhound behavioural; and temperament reviews
- Undertake matching processes
- Manage all rehoming administration
- Assist with day-to-day care and transport of greyhounds
- Represent GRNSW and GAP at a number of annual promotional and publicity events in the regions.

Skills and Experience:
- Degree in a relevant discipline qualifications in animal behaviour, and excellent animal handling skills (or equivalent relevant experience); demonstrated knowledge of canine behaviour.
- Passion for animal care and wellbeing.
- Current full driver’s license; including the ability to operate a van or trailer (or must be willing to undertake training to do so)
- Willingness to travel and work (reasonably) outside normal business hours, including weekends and afternoons. Travel within region and surrounding areas, and to Head Office in Sydney CBD (when required). Some overnight travel may also be required.
- Demonstrated project and program management skills including setting and delivering to operating and capital budgets.
- Excellent research, analytical, computer and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills
