We have an exciting opportunity for a sales-driven Regional Development Manager to join our team at World Challenge!

The Role

Overall purpose of the role is to spearhead World Challenge's ambitious growth plans. Through new and repeat sales, RDMs will work towards, and look to over-deliver on, a regional sales target, whilst optimising the margin of every booking.

Key responsibilities

  • Selling to non-clients (65%) and ensuring a high repeat rate from current clients (35%)
  • Conduct calls and emails to schools to book sales visits and Expedition Review Visits in-person or via video call
  • Attend and exhibit at conferences to generate new leads.
  • Utilise and keep up to date CRM tools.
  • Deliver information evenings to all interested students and parents
  • To be wholly responsible for the enrolment/registration of the optimum number of students for each school
  • Deliver Pre-Departure Update meetings (mostly remotely, but some may be in person where required)
  • To develop and maintain excellent relationships through the sales process and lay stable foundations for the School Relationship Manager to support the school successfully.

Key skills required

  • Previous experience in a B2B sales role is essential. A proven track record of developing and closing new business is desirable.
  • Confident, tenacious and thrives in a sales environment.
  • Target driven and strong desire to develop, progress and close pipeline deals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional manner and ability to build great relationships in meetings and presentations
  • Required to work from home with visits to head office for team training and workshops.
