About the Role
The Regional Director, Research Intelligence & Engineering Sales leads a sales team of Account Managers and is responsible for driving revenue growth across their region. You will lead the growth of the business through new sales and growth of the existing base. The role will encompass sales strategic planning and execution, coaching and professional development and delivery of sales results.
Responsibilities
Driving revenue growth across the region through new sales and maintenance/growth of the existing base
Coordinating key consortium negotiations with Regional Directors for research sales solutions.
Developing an effective regional sales organization by hiring, coaching, developing, and retaining sales talent
Being the senior representative who establishes Elsevier as business partner with key customers/stakeholders in the region.
Developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and partners in territory
Playing an active role in large/complex commercial negotiations
Being responsible for accurate forecasting and pipeline management, timely reporting, and team Salesforce adoption
Managing a network of internal stakeholders, including sales, pricing, finance, product, marketing, and senior management.
Requirements
Have proven track record selling Software or Saas based solutions with experience working in a management role
Have extensive sales experience with high-level executives
Able to operate on an operational, tactical, and strategic level
Have significant expertise in consultative selling, specifically with intricate solution-sales methodology.
Have effective communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
Be experienced in working in an international matrixed organization
Have knowledge in regional or national research programs, collaboration networks, and influential figures is advantageous
Have effective negotiation skills and be able to network at a senior level
