We are seeking a seasoned Executive Regional Director of Sales to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in leading our revenue team and expanding our footprint within the Atlassian ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader, who has successfully made the transition from Individual Contributor to sales leader and who has a proven track record of success in selling complex solutions and professional services. You will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Sales professionals in achieving sales targets, while driving the growth of professional services and Atlassian software resale. This role serves as a senior representative for our company in front of our clients and partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed company sales targets for the ANZ Region
  • Lead, develop, and expand the sales team to support growth objectives.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of Sales performance and metrics.
  • Develop and execute the regional sales strategy, setting comprehensive goals for growth.
  • Analyse market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align sales strategies with company goals.
  • Sponsor key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Client relationship management: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, understand their pain points and objectives and foster long-term partnerships - we expect you to have meaningful, personal relationships with our key buyers.
  • Collaboration: Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment. Additionally, work closely with your cross-functional colleagues in technical, pre-sales, delivery and leadership to remove friction from your team
  • Partnership: you will have multiple years of experience working 'in the channel' closely aligned to a large, successful software vendor such as Atlassian.

Skills:

  • Experience in successfully leading a thriving geographically dispersed, remote first sales organisation.
  • Ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities and understand the competitive landscape to inform territory planning and strategic decisions.
  • Strong grasp of business fundamentals, financial modeling and the economic factors that affect sales and the business as a whole
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, setting realistic yet challenging targets that drive growth.
  • Skills in identifying, recruiting, developing and retaining sales talent, including coaching and mentoring.
  • An insatiable curiosity for the way businesses work and the challenges facing our key buyer profiles (CFO, CIO, CTO, Head of Engineering).

Qualification:

  • A minimum of seven years as a Sales Manager (preferably within the IT consulting industry) preceded by a significant number of years experience in a solutions sales role (as an individual contributor with a quota).
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment as an individual contributor and leader.
  • Strong understanding of the Atlassian suite of products and services (Jira, Confluence, Service Desk, etc.) or similar enterprise level solution.
  • Experience selling complementary solutions within the Atlassian ecosystem (or competitive platforms) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and driven to exceed expectations.
  • Strong familiarity with technology associated with sales process and inter-office collaboration (i.e., HubSpot, Gong, Workplace, Google Suite, Miro, NetSuite).

This position is not eligible for visa assistance/sponsorship or relocation assistance. Although the position is hybrid/remote, preferential consideration will be given to candidates based locally to the country's office in order to better collaborate with our team.
