About the Role

We are searching for a proactive and energetic Regional Operations Manager (NSW) to lead our Operations team and oversee the operations of our NSW wide property portfolio. The Regional Operations Manager organises, controls and coordinates the NSW Operations team and ensures the management of Urban Rest buildings and facilities are up to standard. They are responsible for ensuring the Operations team is being efficient in all aspects of their roles and to create and sustain a safe and high quality environment for their team. Each day will never be the same as this role hosts a variety of tasks and assorted functions across the business. The ideal candidate should hold a positive can-do attitude with the ability to think outside the box and continuously add value to our brand and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to Operational team members within the region
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, plans, and initiatives to achieve business goals and objectives
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide monthly performance update by region, focusing on key accountabilities and identify trends or necessary action points
  • Collaborate with site managers to establish and maintain operational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation / enablement; collaborate with leadership to implement technology improvements and drive change adoption
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies specific to each location within the region
  • Assess, coordinate and ensure record keeping in accordance with AS/NZS 3760 (Test and Tag)
  • Monitor operational expenses and budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to improve financial performance
  • Rostering and monthly reporting of operating tasks and financial outcomes
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, encouraging innovation and efficiency across the region
  • Develop and maintain relationships with property owners, external agents, stakeholders and housekeeping contractors
  • Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders ensuring SLAs and or KPIs are met.
  • Develop necessary action plans to address performance issues/ improvements
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to operational team members, promoting professional development and growth
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Projects, Maintenance, Finance, and Marketing, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operations with broader organizational goals
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in operations management
  • Lead change confidently, rolling out company initiatives in conjunction with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
  • Continuously monitor operational/ticketing systems to ensure all operational tasks are assigned and completed within specified timeframes and deadlines

What We Look For

  • A background in hospitality, property or operations preferred but not required
  • 5+ years experience in a Management role, multi-site capacity preferred
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field would be advantageous
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, the ability to motivate team members through positive and respectful leadership attributes focuses on talent retention
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • A proven track record of project management and prioritising tasks in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Professional demeanour and strong ability to establish positive relationships with others
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to get your hands dirty and help the team out in any way possible
  • Motivated to adopt new and emerging technologies
  • Knowledgeable with computers and software programs including Salesforce and Google Suite
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region
