About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Disability and Mental Health for NSW South and ACT, this permanent full time role will manage Disability Support Leaders working in Supported Independent Living Homes across areas of Southern Sydney (including suburbs between Arncliffe and Caringbah South).
The successful candidate will be an experienced community services leader who cultivates positive culture in fast-paced, complex environments and prioritises a person-centred and human rights-based approach to drive positive outcomes for the people we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Disability Support Leaders and Disability Support Workers
- Lead, manage and embed systems, processes, and procedures to ensure high quality and responsive services that meet the needs of the people we support
- Influence change within the community on behalf of people we support and their families to support inclusion and participation
- Provide local leadership in the implementation, monitoring, and review of safeguarding practices
- Manage all aspects of programmatic budget responsibilities
- Provide support and advice on complex client needs, service delivery issues, critical incident response and complaints management
Skills & Experience
- Operational leadership within the community services sector
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in field such as Health Services, Human Services, Social Work or related discipline
- Strong leadership skills aligned with the Life Without Barriers values
- Demonstrated ability to manage services and programs within a budget
- Ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders internally and externally
- Ability to drive cultural change in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Ability to manage complaints, risks and critical matters
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
