Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drafting correspondence to clients and other parties, and preparing, reviewing, and lodging migration-related applications (e.g., visa applications, skills assessments, nomination applications, etc).
- Providing a full range of services across a number of areas, such as Commercial (general advisory), Family Law, Conveyancing/property law, and Immigration law.
- Providing accurate, honest, and up-to-date legal advice and assistance to prospects, and following up with potential clients.
- Preparing originating processes, witness submissions, and other court documents.
- Conducting legal research, handling legal documents, file administration, and assisting in a general carriage.
- Managing the progress of client files, leaving file notes, and meeting deadlines.
- Keeping up to date with policy, regulation, and industry changes.
You bring to the role:
- Broad migration knowledge across various visa subclasses (e.g., Partner visas, Employer-Sponsored, GSM, Student, GTI, etc).
- Few years of Post Admission Experience, ideally in Commercial (general advisory), Family Law, and Conveyancing.
- Experience with Leap, Migration Manager, and Legendcom.
- A good understanding of legislation and legal research skills.
- Experience in drafting all manner of Court documents and pleadings.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Fluent English, especially in legal writing, and preferably fluent in Mandarin/Cantonese Speaking.
- Law Society / OMARA Practicing Certificate required.
