About the role:
Partnership Builds is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse on a casual basis, 2 days per week to provide high quality nursing care to our NDIS participants. The Registered Nurse will assess individual participant needs and plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. The Registered Nurse will provide health promotion and education to participants, families, support workers and the team by using foundation theoretical knowledge and evidenced based guidelines to improve the health outcomes of individuals.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct person-centred nursing care and demonstrate quality, best practice clinical care in accordance with the RN standards of practice.
- Undertake clinical assessments for high intensity health care needs and develop/monitor Care Plans.
- Facilitate credentialling for support workers undertaking high physical supports for participants.
- Participate in quality improvement activities which contribute to participant safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities in within the practice setting.
- Contribute to participant intake planning by performing risk assessments and risk planning.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration or incidents.
Personal requirements:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrate application of the legislation, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards related to registered nursing.
- Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships and apply sound skills in communication, conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Support and implement organisational directions and values.
- Demonstrate personal drive and professionalism.
