Western Health Hospital in the Home (HITH) has recently undergone an exciting period of change, with recent growth funding to increase from 50 beds to 70 beds and established a second WH HITH team at Sunshine Hospital.
The Hospital in the Home on-road nurse is responsible for providing quality acute nursing care to patients in their place of residence, with close collaboration with the HITH medical team and treating specialty unit.
We are currently seeking interest from Registered Nurses for permanent, part-time positions with Footscray HITH.
By joining the HITH team, you will be joining a passionate and dynamic team, committed to delivering excellent care to our diverse patient population. You will have the opportunity to work autonomously caring for patients, utilizing your advanced clinical assessment skills, whilst accessing the support of the HITH team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and appropriate acute nursing care to patients in their place of residence.
- Educate patients and their relatives re their plan of care
- Liaise with appropriate treating teams with changes in patient condition.
- Communicate with multidisciplinary team
To Be Successful in this Role, you will have the following skills/experience:
- Venepuncture and Peripheral Cannulation
- Central Venous access Device competence
- Possess advanced clinical assessment skills
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an acute setting
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
- Hold a current Victorian drivers license
- Experience as ANUM or CNS highly desirable
