Perth Radiological Clinic is located within Mount Medical Center and we are seeking a Registered Nurse on a permanent part time basis working Wednesday-Friday, 7.5 hour days with rotating shift patterns from 7:30am-5:00pm. You will be working alongside our Radiologists in a fast paced practical setting and provding a high level of patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
Reporting to the Technical supervisor you will be responsible for:
- Correctly interpreting referrals for each examination and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed as required
- Competently assisting radiologists with the following procedures: ultrasound screenings, CTCA breast biopsies, core biopsies, (e.g., barium meals and enemas), and injections (arteriograms) as required.
- Maintaining competency in advanced life support and fully comprehend both PRC and hospital emergency procedures
- Supervise the control and storage of Schedule 8 drugs located within the department in accordance with hospital accreditation guidelines and procedures
- Prepare slides and specimens for pathology (ensuring correct labelling and storage)
- Follow correct PRC protocol for the discharge of patients depending on the procedure undertaken. Advising patients of any necessary post procedure care.
- Recognise limitations imposed by the patient, equipment, own expertise, and knowledge and use initiative to raise questions with clinic colleagues in the most appropriate and timely manner
- Perform duties in accordance with PRC’s policies and procedures

Ideally, you will have excellent organization skills, be able to display initiative and a commitment to excellence in patient care. You should be able to deal effectively with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and work collaboratively within our team.
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or recognised equivalent
- Registration with AHPRA
- Full Australian working rightsis mandatory
- Due to contractual obligations, some PRC sites may require you to provide a Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate
- Ability to provide or obtain a National Police Checkwithin 6 months
- Knowledge of medical emergency procedures, CPR and oxygen administration is required
- Commitment to continued professional self-development and maintenance of required CPD points
