SalaryGolden City Medical Clinic is a well established clinic that has been serving the local community for over 25 years. We have a team of caring doctors, nurses and admin staff who are dedicated to providing a high standard of health care and support to their patients.
Continuity of care is essential in providing high standard care to patients. GCMC is seeking applicants who are are looking for long-term employment.
The role is for a Registered Nurse to perform the following tasks:
- Chronic Disease Management
- Health assessments
- Care plans
- Childhood & adult vaccinations
- Wound management & dressings
- Asthma management, diabetes education & health promotion activities
- Assisting doctors with completion of medical examinations & procedures
- Cold chain management
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- AHPRA Registration
- Current CPR certificate
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Sound interpersonal skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent skills in communication and documentation
- Ability to use initiative and utilize resources
- Well presented
- Exceptional time management skills
- Strong patient focus approach
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently
- Minimum of 2 years experience in nursing
Desirable:
- Previous experience in general practice
- Nurse Immuniser Endorsement
- An understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule Items
- Knowledge of preventative health screening programs
- Previous use of Best Practice clinical software
GCMC expects staff to maintain high quality and up to date clinical skills. We encourage nurses to complete short courses, and facilitate a number of study days throughout each year.
Working hours are Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm.
Part time and full time positions available. Applicants must be available a minimum of 3 days per week.
Remuneration is in accordance with the applicants classification as per the Nurses Award (2020).
