As a Reliability Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in optimising the fixed plant assets' performance and reliability, contributing to the success of the mining operations.
Reporting to the superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of fixed plant assets, specifically across conveyors, crushers and screens.
Job Description
- Conduct detailed reliability assessments and analysis of fixed plant assets to identify critical issues and failure patterns.
- Develop and implement predictive maintenance programs to anticipate and prevent equipment failures across fixed plant equipment.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Utilise data-driven insights to optimise equipment maintenance schedules, reducing downtime and maximising asset utilisation.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including reliability reports, maintenance procedures, and equipment histories.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in reliability within a mining environment.
- Worked on conveyor systems, essential.
- SAP knowledge, advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and familiar with reliability concepts such as five-whys, RCA and FMEA.
