The role

We're looking for a Reliability Planning Manager to join our Distribution Solutions branch to ensure timely production of asset management reliability programs and plans for our infrastructure to meet customer needs, regulatory requirements and consistent with the company's Water Plan and Corporate Plan.

Reporting to the Group Manager Distribution Solutions, the Reliability Planning Engineer leads a team that plays a key role in the continued reliable operation of South East Water's sewerage, water and recycled water infrastructure. This includes working with our integrated planning and capital delivery teams and partners to define and prioritise projects for delivery on time and budget and taking projects from inception to handover through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

Who are you?

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a Professional Engineer (accredited 4-year degree) with professional registration in Victoria, and demonstrate knowledge or experience in the following areas:

  • Experience in planning, design and/or delivery of water, recycled water, water quality or sewer infrastructure - preferred
  • Knowledge of Asset Management Principles as they relate to reliability of pipelines, sewers, pumping stations and other water industry engineering assets
  • Knowledge of risk management systems
  • Excellent people leadership qualities and proven experience in a senior leadership role
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Strong portfolio and contract management experience
  • Exceptional coaching skills to build capability within your team
  • Highly proficient in professional business communication and writing skills adapting to levels spanning peers, to executive, board level and State Government Departments
  • Experienced in the design, delivery and operations of water and sewer assets.
