Residential Estimator - Custom Homes Including Basements

THE CLIENT:
This award winning builder is known for successfully delivering outstanding quality on multiple facets of their business. This rare opportunity is to join their Custom side of the business, which is focussed on delivering Bespoke homes, valued between $4 - $8 million dollars. 

THE ROLE:
Reporting to the operations manager, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure quality, accuracy, consistency and completeness of quotations and costings for high end Custom homes valued up to $8 million.
• Thorough documentation review prior to site start, ensuring working drawings, specifications, HIA contract and post contract variations are aligned.
• Effectively communicate feedback throughout internal teams to ensure documentation quality is being maintained / improved.
• Resolve ordering oversights with suppliers and the Construction team.
• Assist Construction and Client Liaison team with site related / customer requests.
• Identify extra to order (ETO) trends within the Operation and Construction teams to assist in the overall business ETO reduction.
• Assist with the development of procedures to improve company benchmarks. Ensure current and correct documentation is utilized at all times.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
To be successful in the role, you will have had previous residential experience with high end bespoke products. The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years experience in residential construction as an estimator, with 2 years in custom.
• Previous experience in residential construction as a senior highly desired.
• Proven ability to estimate including basement experience essential. 
• Sound Databuild skills
• Highly organised – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activities
• Working knowledge of the building and construction process
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
