Restaurant Manager
Bhuiyan Group Pty Ltd T/A Curry Village with the menu directly influenced by Indian cuisines. We are located in Mangerton, Wollongong City Council. We offer an incredible array of Indian delights food that promise a flavour of Indian food mixed with modern favourites.
We are seeking for a permanent full-time Restaurant Manager to join our team.
The salary for the role is between $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
ü Opening & closing the restaurant, management of staff arrivals and departures for shifts.
ü Ensuring customers are greeted and seated appropriately, taking reservations from customers.
ü Liaising with chefs on each day’s menu and fulfillment requirements.
ü Recording stock levels and ordering stock, if required, in conjunction with chefs.
ü Handling of day-to-day financial transactions, opening and close cash register.
ü Maintaining standards of cleanliness and hygiene protocols Managing maintenance of restaurant equipment including furniture.
ü Menu planning and pricing, regularly assessed in conjunction with chefs and management.
ü Assisting with staff selection process, including interviews and on-the-job training.
ü Generally overseeing the restaurant functions and resolving any issues, reporting to management where necessary.
ü Managing staff meetings.
ü Ensuring Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures are followed by all staff members.
ü Inspecting dining facilities to ensure they comply with health regulations and are in suitable, clean, and functional state for customers.
ü Assisting staff by order taking.
ü Communicating with and maintaining a good working relationship with management.
To apply for the role, you must have the following:
ü At least 5 years of work experience in restaurant management within the hospitality industry.
ü Strong budget management and sales growth skills.
ü Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
ü Strong organizational and time management abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
ü Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with guests, staff, and suppliers.
ü A genuine passion for delivering exceptional service and a relentless commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
