Espresso Bonsai, a vibrant café located at 66 Thomas Dr, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217, offering table service and a delightful menu, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our energetic team. As a pivotal leader in our establishment, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient staff management, and adherence to operational standards.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with chefs to plan menus, ensuring a diverse selection of high-quality options.
Coordinate and oversee special functions, such as private events or catering, to ensure outstanding experiences for patrons.
Manage purchasing and pricing of goods within budgetary constraints, balancing quality and profitability.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions for efficient resource management.
Ensure dining facilities comply with health regulations and maintain cleanliness and functionality.
Engage with customers to assess satisfaction and address concerns promptly and professionally.
Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Manage digital systems for POS management, online reservation platforms, inventory management software, marketing, and social media management to enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement with order-taking as needed to ensure smooth service.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in Australia, preferably within the food service industry, Cafe and restaurant management.
Demonstrated skills in planning, organization, and personnel management.
Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in food safety and a food handling license (preferred).
Advance Diploma in Hospitality Management & Certificate IV of Commercial Cookery.
Competence in digital systems including POS management, online reservation platforms, inventory management software, marketing, and social media management.
Remuneration:
We offer a competitive salary commensurate with industry standards and the selected candidate's experience. Salary for this position is $70,000 per year.
