ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a highly experienced, professional Restaurant Manager to join our Food & Beverage department and help to lead the front-of-house team at The Paddock restaurant within the estate. The Paddock is a chef-hatted a la carte restaurant that delivers unpretentious, wholesome fare that celebrates the quality of the local produce.
As Restaurant Manager of The Paddock restaurant, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant & leading & managing the front-of-house team;
- Coordination & delivery of excellent customer service experiences;
- Developing, implementing & maintaining superior service standards to exceed guest expectations;
- Working towards business & financial objectives for a profitable & efficient restaurant operation;
- Maintaining restaurant policy, procedure, business & culture objectives;
- Working with Chefs on menu development & costing;
- Stock control & management including purchasing;
- Recruitment, training/development & rostering of staff;
- Implementing succession planning programs that focus on staff development & progression;
- Financial management including cost control, budgeting & financial planning;
- Overseeing reservations including taking bookings & greeting/seating guests; and
- Ensuring the restaurant is compliant with health regulations & that WHS is a focus for all workers.
Full-Time Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
ABOUT YOU:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity as Restaurant Manager at Beechmont Estate, you will need to be/have:
- At least 3+ years of restaurant management experience;
- Hospitality Management training preferred;
- Extensive experience in food & beverage, preferably within luxury resorts or fine-dining restaurants;
- Experience in a chef-hatted restaurant;
- Strong leadership & management skills;
- Sommelier or WSET training if possible;
- Demonstrated abilities in team builing, training & mentoring;
- Experience in a range of different cocktails with a flair for creativity;
- Ability to work well under pressure;
- Explempary organisational skills;
- Excellent communication & time management skills;
- Strong business acumen & financial/budgeting knowlege;
- A natural communicator who finds it easy to inspire a team & wow the guests;
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word;
- Experience with RMS & Seven Rooms is a bonus;
- Impeccable personal presentation; and
- A reliable & flexible attitude.
