You will be responsible for leading and engaging with your team whilst demonstrating an excellent customer focus and committment to creating a great dining experience for our valued customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Overseeing the daily operations of the venue - including but not limited to restaurant opening and closing and staff coordination during service.
· Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.
· Arranging the purchasing and ordering of stock and pricing of menu items according to budget.
· Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
· Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
· Daily cash handling and reconciliation.
· Engaging with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service and ensuring the venue receives quality reviews.
· Communicating effectively with management and the team to ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience.
· Hiring, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.
· Required take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders.
· Along with the Events Manager, plan, coordinate and execute all functions and events.
· Liaise regularly with the Head Chef, Events Manager and General Manager about daily operations, upcoming bookings and events.
· Achieve financial targets and budgets relating to wages and cost of goods control.
Ideal Candidate must :
· Must posses a Positive and professional attitude, a naturally friendly and engaging personality who is committed, dependable and enjoys a challenge.
· Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in both English and Turkish (highly preferable is but not mandatory).
· Management experience in a similar setting - Smart Casual Dining in Turkish Restaurant
· A ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
· Calm and caring leadership style who understands the importance of a positive team culture.
· Knowledge of Turkish food & both Turkish and local wines.
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager or related experience.
· Experience coordinating rosters for a large team
· Required to work on weekends.
· Knowledge of booking systems (experience with Quandoo preferred).
· A willingness to go above and beyond with an eagerness to grow personally and professionally.
· Have a big picture approach while ensuring the daily deliverables are being met.
· Qualification in Diploma of Hospitality or equivalent.
