We are looking for an experienced Restaurant and Café Managers to support the Venue Manager at Sydney Opera House to oversee all aspects of the outlet’s operations.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things people and service. You will be well-versed in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the outlet, deliver exceptional customer service, manage the restaurant team members, and contribute to the restaurant's profitability and success. The Restaurant Manager plays a key role in maintaining high standards, optimising guest experiences, and fostering a positive work environment.
Your Responsibilities will include:
· Oversee all aspects of the restaurant's day-to-day operations, including food and beverage service, customer relations, and staff management.
· Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and consistent service delivery.
· Monitor guest feedback and conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement.
· Manage all client reservations and weekly menu changes.
· When there is a function at the restaurant, responsible to deliver the function as per the event sheets and manage any exceptional circumstances (including incidents, complaints, etc.)
· Set a high standard of customer service, ensuring guests receive attentive, personalised, and efficient service.
· Recruit, train, and manage the restaurant team members, including bartenders, baristas, servers, and attendants.
· Monitor and analyse restaurant financial performance, including sales, costs, and profitability.
· Manage restaurant inventory, including food, beverages, and supplies, to prevent stockouts and minimise wastage.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and company policies.
· Accountable for restaurant premises presentation, including cleanliness externally and perimeter zones as well as all internal areas.
Your skills and experience:
· Minimum 3 years’ in a restaurant management or senior supervisory role within the F&B industry
· Experience with restaurant POS systems and computer literacy
· Food Handling certification
· Responsible Service of Alcohol competency card
· Tertiary qualification in Restaurant or Hospitality Management or related discipline preferred.
