RETAIL/COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT MANAGER NT

Having built our reputation on the back of our ‘can-do’ attitude, innovative range of products and dedication to our clients, we supply tailored sleep solutions (mattresses, bases, headboards) to clients across various industries throughout the regions we service.
Reporting to National Managers', you will be working across a variety of industries such as mining, hospitality, government, education & retail outlets. You will be responsible for creating long-term, trusting relationships with our customers and oversee a portfolio of assigned customers and retailers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities throughout your territory. Key to achieving this will be your ability to connect with and develop strong relationships with key decision makers.
This role will be based out of Darwin and will include regular travel throughout the Northern Territory, Northern WA & North West Queensland.

Accountabilities:
- Strategically foster customer engagement ensuring we deliver targeted solutions through an intimate understanding of our customer's needs
- Build and maintain strong, positive, long-lasting, trusted adviser relationships with key accounts and customer stakeholders
- Develop new business via new and existing customers to ensure a consistent pipeline
- Cold calling on perspective clients and working to a regular call cycle
- Maintain and expand the client database throughout the state
- Prepare regular reports on account status and clearly communicate the progress of sales initiatives
- Meet personal sales targets and company KPI's
- Train Client's retail staff in both product knowledge and retail sales techniques
- Monitor competitor activities to activate counter strategies
- Make sure floor stock is well presented, current and supported with appropriate POS materials
About you:
- Dedicated to providing excellent service and experiences to our clients ensuring high client satisfaction and retention
- Prepared to play the ‘long game’ with your prospects and clients over a lengthy sale cycle
- Innate ability to relate to and influence people at all levels. It's a people game
- Demonstrable ability to gain access, communicate, and present to, the key stakeholders
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work autonomously when on the road visiting clients
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- An enthusiastic, “can-do” attitude
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
Salary and Benefits:
