About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Safety and Wellbeing, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our employees through the Injury Management process while focusing on injury prevention.
• Coordinate and implement workplace Injury Management and Return to Work programs across the Council;
• Manage all aspects of WorkCover claims
• Advise, educate, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Revise and improve the Injury Management systems.
Skills & Experience
• Substantial knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and the WorkCover system.
• Substantial knowledge and experience with return-to-work programs and Injury Management.
• Knowledge of OHS, FW and EO Acts and the ER/IR implications of WorkCover outcomes.
• Sound knowledge of injury types and their associated treatment and management.
• Ability to liaise proficiently with medical practitioners and influence Return to Work outcomes.
• Skills in managing time, planning, organising own work and setting priorities.
• Ability to Work autonomously and meet legislated deadlines with limited supervision.
