The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced hospitality industry professional to join our team as a Revenue Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate capacity to understand and apply sound market knowledge and analytical skills to project trends and opportunities to optimize revenue and inventory for the hotel. The successful candidate will also oversee the reservations department ensuring all related KPI’s in this space are met.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Monitor local market (competitor set) and adjust the daily rates accordingly.
- Provide real time demand analysis and use channel management tools to optimize market share.
- Maintain and implement reports and analyse the data to aid decisions.
- Oversee reservations (team member and systems)
- Training and development of department team members
- Responsible for maintaining all hotel revenue and property management systems.
- Work with our sales and marketing team to identify and capitalize on tactical opportunities.
- Liaise daily with General Manager regarding inventory management.
- Manage all data on third party websites (OTA’s) consistent with hotel strategy.
- Daily, weekly, monthly: Financial and management reporting
- Maintaining effective hotel wide communication at all times
About You
The successful candidate will be required to possess the following attributes:
- A minimum of 2 years in a similar role from a single or multi-property hotel environment.
- Previous experience using any hotel PMS, RMS and GRS essential (Infor HMS, Duetto, SynXis CRS and Sabre for Channel Management would be an advantage).
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and able to create detailed report from exported data (Pivot tables)
- Highly motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A clear understanding of hotel operations and processes.
- A strong understanding of how to effectively use business intelligence software (Cognos)
