- Analyse performance data to identify and implement reliability improvement initiatives
- Execute technical based projects to improve plant performance including engineering design documentation for concept, front end and detailed design stages
- Take accountability for the solution of significant Mechanical Engineering issues
- Review criticality analysis to ensure plant events are documented, tracked and prioritised through risk review
- Identify the plant bottlenecks and facilitate improvements for reducing unit costs
- Conduct FMECA/RCA (Root Cause Analysis) into failures and provide improvement actions and monitor the implementation of those actions
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Current WA C-Class driver’s license
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in large scale heavy industry in an engineering and/or projects role
- Demonstrated experience in mining, chemical processing and MUST have operating plant field experience.
- Field and process background with knowledge of piping, welding and rotating parts
- Experience in engineering design and improvements; with a special of shock drawings.
- Sound understanding of fixed plant assets, plant maintenance and reliability practices
- Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes
- Excellent stakeholder negotiation and management skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to key stakeholders
