About Us

The Audit and Risk Management (ARM) Office is a high-performing team which plays an important part of Murdoch University's governance framework, and is responsible for the following key functions:

  • Internal Audit and Advisory
  • Risk Management
  • Business Continuity and Critical Incident Management
  • Compliance Management
  • Integrity/Fraud Control


The Role

Partnering with various business areas at Murdoch University, the primary objective of the Risk Business Partner is the continuation of implementing and embedding the University's risk management and critical incident management frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Implementing and supporting effective risk management and reporting.
  2. Conducting risk assessments, workshops, presentations and training.
  3. Providing advice and support including co-ordination to the Critical Incident Management Team in responding to and managing any critical or potential critical incidents.
  4. Implementing the University's critical incident and business continuity management framework.
  5. Conduct critical incidents tests and exercises.


What you'll bring to this role

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree or relevant certification in business) or proven expertise gained from a combination of appropriate experience and/or education.
  2. A positive attitude, collaborative approach and solutions-oriented mindset.
  3. Demonstrated ability to apply risk management concepts and standards into practice by following a fit for purpose approach.
  4. Experience in successfully implementing a robust Risk Management Framework.
  5. Experience and expertise in critical incident and business continuity management activities that are fit for purpose.
