About the role As the Manager, Compliance you will play a critical role dedicated to implementing a robust and strategic compliance management capability across AEMO’s market and non-market obligations. The primary focus will be on uplifting AEMO’s Group compliance capability to ensure that all relevant compliance obligations are understood and effectively managed. This is an exciting opportunity, suited to candidates who enjoy a challenge and want to make a genuine impact through the delivery of strategic compliance outcomes.
What you will be doing
- Drive the development in implementing AEMO’s compliance strategy and framework to improve the way AEMO identifies, prioritises, and manages material compliance obligations.
- Ensuring completeness and compliance with current and new corporate and energy market obligations.
- Elevation of compliance oversight and assurance at Board and executive levels
- Effectively communicate regulatory changes and support the Divisions to develop practical and fit-for-purpose solutions to new and emerging obligations, and material compliance challenges.
- Facilitating compliance ownership, accountability, awareness, and culture across the Group, including development and oversight of compliance-related training programs.
What you will bring to the role
The role will suit an experienced compliance professional with excellent collaboration and communication skills given you will be working closely with legal and other compliance subject matter experts, and you will be responsible for sharing compliance insights across the Group. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in enhancing compliance maturity in complex environments and will play an active and collaborative role in shaping the AEMO Risk & Compliance Community of Practice to drive continuous improvement.
