We are looking for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join our Group Risk and Compliance division.
The role of the Risk & Compliance Manager is to maintain and embed the compliance and related risk in change frameworks to ensure that our products and clients comply with existing and upcoming scheme and regulatory rules. The role ensures there is a positive risk and compliance culture where compliance with obligations are understood and appropriately prioritised and managed within an agile environment.
Role responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensure the Cuscal Compliance framework including Cuscal's risk and compliance system is updated and adhered to, including a current obligations register, breach and issues register, Client attestations, Compliance calendars, training plan, monitoring plan and consolidated compliance reporting.
- Support effective product delivery by providing risk in change compliance advice as it relates to the specific Product Domain.
- Provides the Domain with the tools and training to embed relevant compliance activities linked to product delivery.
- Support product and account managers to deliver compliant outcomes in relation to product lifecycle management and client onboarding.
- Assist in the identification and assessment of industry and regulatory changes.
- Respond to industry consultations and attend Industry forums and arrange workshops as required, sharing industry insights and trends to ensure Cuscal delivers Industry accepted practices to its clients and their customers.
- Assist in Domain related issues including internal escalation of potential breaches and monitoring the status of business actions to resolve issues.
- Liaise with the business and stakeholders to ensure iRisk remains up to date and relevant in relation to obligations and risk profiles, internal audit risks, open actions and risk related issues and continue to improve to mitigate future risks.
- Develop and periodically review policies, standards, and other documentation to ensure continued currency and relevance in providing guidance to representatives.
- Assess compliance maturity and management through key metrics, ensuring appropriate oversight of backlog.
About You
This is a crucial position within Cuscal and requires the ideal candidate to have significant regulatory experience within the financial services industry to be considered for this opportunity.
As the successful candidate we ask that you have the following experience:
- A comprehensive understanding and experience of operational and compliance risk management experience in a financial services environment.
- Demonstrating sound understanding of Compliance principles, structures, and processes.
- Experience in managing compliance changes and initiatives including supporting delivery and delivered risks through risk in change build and maintenance.
- Practical knowledge in compliance planning including obligation library construction, risk identification and control writing.
- Industry knowledge/discipline of relevant systems and associated banking processes.
- The ability to translate technical requirements into business language.
- Natural collaborator and can influence action and outcomes across cross functional groups.
- Analytical and critical thinking mindset, with the ability to problem solve effectively.
- Self-assured in providing accurate results in a tight deadline driven environment.
- Tertiary education in a commercial discipline is essential.
- RMIA or RMA accreditations preferred.
