The Opportunity:
This is an exciting new opportunity to join Dexus as a Risk Manager to support the successful execution of Dexus’s strategy through the implementation of the Risk Management Framework across the Group. This role will proactively engage with key risk stakeholders and be required to demonstrate strong communication skills to articulate risk findings through enhanced reporting deliverables..
The role:
The Dexus Risk team is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Dexus Risk Management Framework across the Group.
As Risk Manager, the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Contribute to the development and preparation of transparent, forward-looking risk reports; ensuring that high-quality, relevant, and accurate information is provided to key stakeholders, including executives and Directors, to oversee and manage risk and to facilitate decision-making. This will include risk profile reporting, risk tolerances and appetites
- Identify and recommend commercial improvements to the risk management framework
- Support the maintenance of the business continuity management framework and training of relevant parties
- Risk advocate – support and promote Dexus’s risk culture in all interactions with internal stakeholders
- Support and drive continuous improvement
- Assist the Risk team with ad-hoc assignments as required.
About you:
- Audit or risk management background with strong risk identification and assessment skills
- Experience of working in a complex environment acquired in property or construction, financial services, and/or an industry which has tangible operational risk issues
- Experience in report preparation to Senior Management, Leadership and Boards
- Experience conducting presentations and facilitating forums, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong technical knowledge of risk and control frameworks, policies and process, and application of these to business decisions.
- Experience in business continuity management frameworks
- Demonstrated professional experience in the application of three lines of accountability model
- Conduct to the highest degree of ethics and integrity
- Self-motivated and driven contributor to a collaborative, highly productive team
- Sound organisational planning and implementation skills; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced multidimensional environment with conflicting priorities
