About the role
The Nurse Educator (NE), SA Medical Imaging, is responsible for the coordination, planning, development and evaluation of professional development activities, in conjunction with nurses and other relevant stakeholders.
This role will specifically:
- Provide education and training support to all SA Medical Imaging nursing staff & maintain records
- Providing education support in a specific education and/or training portfolios;
- Coordination and leadership of projects, programs and/or research to achieve improved educational outcomes and/or service delivery across SAMI
- Support co-ordination of SAMI Nursing Mandatory Training, Anaphylaxis training, Peripheral IV cannulation training, etc
- Support the development and maintenance of an educational framework for Medical Imaging nurse such as a Novice to Expert pathway
- Support and assist Nurse Unit Managers to achieve planned outcomes for education and training of SAMI nurses

Essential Requirements:
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DHS)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Educational/Vocational Qualifications
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
