About the Role:
Furnish a staffing roster that adeptly addresses the requirements of the residents while facilitating the Residential Aged Care Facility in delivering high-caliber care and optimizing individual consumer outcomes. The incumbent Roster Clerk is expected to exhibit a constructive, proficient, and hospitable demeanor in customer service, emblematic of the compassionate ethos of Baptcare's The Orchards Community.
The Roster Clerk and Receptionist position is a dual role that provides comprehensive administrative support within the aged care facility, operating under the direct supervision of the Residential Care and Services Manager. Serving as the primary point of contact for facility visitors and callers, this position plays a crucial role.
Preferably, the candidate should be willing to work on afull-time basisin a dual role setting and should possess prior experience within the aged care sector, underscored by a demonstrated proficiency in collaborative engagement with a multifarious and culturally diverse workforce and clientele. Our preference is for an individual capable of manifesting profound empathy towards senior citizens and families navigating consequential decisions pertaining to long-term care arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality customer service to clients, families, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
- Undertake general office administration duties in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Maintain a safe environment for visitors and staff through the implementation of Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensures site roster is planned, prepared, and maintained according to Office Manager / Baptcare procedure.
- Working to fill vacant shifts and assisting in other roster related issues
- Promptly report any workplace risks to management.
- Report consumer-related risks to management, including behaviours or actions inconsistent with our values.
- Document consumer progress and outcomes accurately in the designated Baptcare records.

- Proven ability to work co-operatively with a diverse, multicultural workforce and client base.
- Ability to review own schedule to manage priorities and the changing needs of residents.
- Ability to manage visitors, phone calls and computer work in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Commitment to working in accordance with Baptcare's values and Code of Conduct.
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within aged care
- Rostering experience
- Certificate II or III in Business Administration (Desirable)
