Boandik is currently recruiting experienced administration staff to join our dynamic team as a ROSTERING OFFICER. This role is a permanent part-time position, working 48 hours per fortnight, based in our Mount Gambier office.
About the role:
Working in a multi-disciplinary team, the Rostering Officer plays a key role in our daily operations and is responsible for rostering Clinical and Hotel Services staff across our Residential Aged Care Facilities.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all rostering inquiries.
- Develop and maintain effective and compliant rosters that suit the needs of Boandik and our residents while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Create and interpret reports to forecast resourcing requirements and opportunities.
- Ensure our employees are rostered in line with the Award and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Manage ad hoc changes to employee availability, including leave and changes to work patterns.
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving and staff forecasting in rostering meetings.
- Maintain data integrity and accurate record-keeping.
- Be an active participant in driving change when the chance arises.
About You:
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or higher.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar administrative role.
- Experience and understanding of rostering and scheduling - advantage but not essential.
- Ability to meet deadlines; handling volumes of competing priorities and confidential matters while displaying discipline, accuracy, discretion, and integrity.
- Ability to use database systems for rostering, reporting, and administration purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate effectively, establish trust, and manage expectations.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly developed computer literacy.
- Basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as applicable to the role - desirable.
