About the Role
The RTO training manager is responsible for overseeing and managing training and assessment, training compliance, training staff management. The RTO training manager leads the RTO’s training and assessment efforts and works with the compliance team leader and the operations manager to design and implement internal quality controls, policies and procedures to assure training compliance with applicable local, State and Commonwealth laws and regulations that affect the operations of the RTO.
The RTO Training Manager reporting to the CEO:
Main role and responsibilities:
- Coordinating and managing the RTO’s training and assessment requirements
- Working with the Compliance team leader in planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring compliance activities (ASQA)
- Manage Trainers to ensure quality delivery in line with company expectation
- Recruit and induct trainers ensuring workforce capacity to meet company demands
- Ensuring overseas students have an outstanding experience
- Developing and implementing course materials and assessment tools
- Performance Management of Trainers
- Ensuring the correct flow of training paperwork such as enrolment forms, attendance logs and associated data entry.
- Assist with overseeing compliance with legislative requirements
- Assist with coordinating internal audits, validation, and quality compliance matters
- Developing, reviewing, improving and maintaining existing policies and procedures
- Training staff and management on key changes to legislation and regulatory requirements
- Developing, maintaining and reviewing Training and Assessment strategies
- Supporting training personnel with adequate resources and regular team meetings.
Essential Criteria:
- Diploma of Training and Education or a Degree in Adult Education
- Diploma of Quality Auditing
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Senior RTO role
- Strong understanding of the National Standards for RTOs (2018), compliance audits knowledge
- Good working knowledge of the ESOS Act and CRICOS standards
- Experience in successful execution, monitoring
- Sound knowledge and understanding of student management systems (axcelerate)
- Strong project management experience
- Strong experience in developing and monitoring compliant training resources and learning materials
- Course coordination and scheduling experience
- Enthusiastic and motivated team leader
