About the Role:
Our Client is looking to add an experienced Safety Advisor to their growing team at an Open Cut Mine in the Bowen Basin.
The following qualifications are essential:
- G1, G8 & G9 (Mine Supervisor)
- G2 Risk Facilitator
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
- Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
Key Responsibilities and duties of the Safety Advisor:
- Ability to maintain knowledge of best practice operating standards to ensure currency and consistency of operating and safety systems
- Experience with Legislative and Safety Health Management Systems from both a maintainence of and audited on
- Demonstrate effective risk management skills and the implementation of proactive strategies for improvement
- High visibility in Operations and engagement with work teams in accordance with agreed targets
- Ensure reports and actions are completed, analysed and delivered in agreed time frames
