SalarySafety consultant and/or safety advisor positions are available at one of Adelaide’s most successful safety consultancies, having been in operation for almost 20 years, servicing clients in all areas and levels of public and private industry.
Key requirements of the role include:
- Providing practical, effective, appropriate and timely advice to Clients in relation their specific safety and legal compliance requirements
- Undertaking site safety inspections and/or audits at Client locations
- Undertaking hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control activities at Clients’ workplaces – across areas such as manual handling, plant and equipment, chemicals, traffic management, emergency management
- Writing reports with practical risk control and safety recommendations on findings relating to client audits, inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Development, review and upgrading of Clients’ existing Safety management systems and associated documentation
- Conduct in-house or on-site training for Clients
- Assist with or Lead Accident/Incident Investigations for Clients
- Detailed and working knowledge of the requirements and practical application of WHS Legislation and Codes of Practice.
- Detailed and working knowledge of the requirements and practical application of safety management systems – specifically ISO45001.
- Sound knowledge of Risk Management processes and practices (ISO31000)
- Working knowledge of Quality (ISO9001) and Environmental (ISO14001) management systems and their integration into or with Safety Management Systems
If you have formal qualifications in safety and a minimum of 5 years work experience working in safety and would like the challenge of applying your knowledge and experience by providing safety services and advice across a wide range of businesses, then we would like to talk to you.
Previous consulting work and/or work in construction-related businesses, along with grading (or eligibility for grading) as an OHS Professional with Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) will all be well-regarded.
