Your responsibilities will be:
- Contribute to the development and management of policies, procedures, instructions and guidance material.
- Maintain company compliance program to ensure the organisation operates in accordance with current state and federal legislation.
- Foster a best practice approach to business activities, support compliant outcomes and encourage positive culture.
- Manage incident investigations and ensure near-misses are reported immediately and complete reports in a timely manner.
- Support the company's compliance with ISO including the certification process.
- Conduct and support audits to ensure compliance and continual improvement.
- Undertake WSRS administration tasks as and when required.
- Become proficient and provide support for AMSG business management systems (BMS).
- Manage records, files and systems to comply with relevant standards.
- Liaise with approved sub-contractors, support onboarding and auditing to manage compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to complete project documentation.
- Liaise with colleagues to develop, review, and continually improve processes, procedures, and workflows.
You will have:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, preferred
- OHS exposure gained within a high-risk industry operating remotely and at heights
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to evaluate and implement WHS policies and procedures and ensure compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence at various business levels
- Strong computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation
- Ability to think strategically, considering both corporate and local objectives
- Ability to conduct audits; investigations of safety issues and assist in developing improvement plans based on findings
- Demonstrated ability to develop WHS improvement plans to drive and promote proactive safety awareness programs
- Prior experience with managing return to work programs in consultation with line management
- Drivers Licence
It would be great if you have (but not mandatory):
- Experience in the maritime industry
- Lead Auditor certification
Role information:
- Applicants must be Melbourne based and entitled to work in Australia.
- This position commences 3rd June 2024, pending successfully securing an exciting perspective tender in the region.
