An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safety Manager to join our team. This role would suit someone who enjoys coming into a business, assessing what is required and getting on with it knowing you will be fully supported. There is plenty of opportunity to use your skills and knowledge to really help us lift the safety bar.
In this role you will:
- Develop, implement and maintain a detailed safety framework, including preparing safety and environmental policies
- Manage the incident, injury and hazard identification process
- Manage all workcover claims and return to work plans
- Prepare, plan and conduct safety training
- Devise and coordinate safety programs that increase proficiency in safe work practices and promote a safety first culture
- Conduct and coordinate internal audits
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Experience working in a safety management role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with steel or PVC pipe manufacturing desirable but not required
- Solid understanding of WHS legislation
- Proven change management skills
- Formal WHS qualifications
