Design & Build Recruitment have partnered with a nationally recognised Client & Landlord who are looking for a Safety & Risk Coordinator to join their team in NSW.
What is expected of you:
- Act as facilitator for the project in matters concerning risk assessment, prevention of accidents, injuries, hazards and the promotion of WHS.
- Facilitate, through the Project team, the management of all environmental & WHS activities to ensure that policies & procedures are complied with, including accurate & proper record keeping of these procedures.
- Develop, implement and monitor the emergency procedures required on site, in conjunction with the Safety Committee/Project Management team.
- Investigate & report on all accidents and "near misses" on the project, & ensure learnings & trends are identified and actioned.
- Participate in all HSE inspections
- Review the WHS training requirements
- Complete monthly safety reports
- Ensure that all unresolved environmental & WHS issues are escalated to the Project Manager where objectives are at risk of not being achieved, or corrective actions are not promptly implemented.
- Drive and determination to deliver in challenging situations.
- Willingness to respond promptly to any emergencies that may occur regarding HSEQ.
- Daily travel - Sydney Metro and Regional
- 1pm - 9pm hours or something similar - NIGHT SHIFT
- Cert 4 WHS at a minimum
- Proficient with Hammertech
- 2 + years experience working with High Risk items
- Construction background is desirable - will consider fit out/landlord/retail backgrounds
- Proficient use of MS Office: especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Hammertech
- Valid NSW driver’s license
