About the role:
Our Explosive Ordnance Systems team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer the opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations, creating huge opportunities for growth.
Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the Safety and Security Coordinator will play a crucial role in fostering a positive safety and security culture compliant with regulatory authorities. With 17 depots spread across Australia, this position offers various development opportunities, as we prioritize promoting from within.
Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and regulations
Monitor and support risk management processes
Assist in the compliance activities relating to Commonwealth Authority (Comcare) Major Hazardous Facilities (MHF) Regulations for the Region.
Implement, maintain and review Safety Management Systems
Ensure regional compliance with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and Defence Security Manual (DSM) requirements
Preparing documentation for security clearance applications of employees
Investigating, making recommendations and preparing reports of security breaches and potential incidents
Liaising with the Defence Security Authority and other related departments
How About You?
Cert IV in WHS (or ability to obtain)
Excellent judgement and initiative in order to resolve a wide range of technical issues
Experience in managing workplace HSE requirements
Sound knowledge, experience and understanding of HSE Legislation
