THE COMPANY
Our client is a global manufacturer of enclosures, light poles and other electrical solutions. They are well-regarded in the industrial manufacturing and mining space. Their solution is focused on providing their clients with a safe and efficient working environment. On top of their quality products and expert team members, they take pride in the level of support they provide to their customer base. Due to the increase in demand, they are now in the position to hire a Sales Engineer in WA to help drive sales.
THE ROLE
- As the Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for customers based in WA - Perth focus and occasional regional travel to mine sites.
- You will be selling our client’s range of electrical enclosures, and light poles for hazardous environments direct to End-users (i.e., mining, petrochemical) and OEMs.
- You will be dealing with the engineering team, and procurement and maintenance managers daily - providing them with technical suggestions and solutions.
- This role can be quite technical hence it will require you to use your technical expertise in the heavy industrial or electrical space to help your clients solve their problems.
- You will be working closely with the State Manager based in WA who will provide you ongoing training and support.
- THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: Technical sales experience within the electrical market - selling products such as switchboards, electrical motors, enclosures, electrical components OR other related products.
- If you don’t have experience selling an electrical product but have an electrical engineering qualification - we would consider your application as well.
- Candidates without electrical experience or background but have a strong track record of success selling to mining, petrochemical or OEMs will also be considered for this role as long as you have a technical solution sales approach.
- In terms of personality - we are looking for someone who understands a technical solutions sales approach, has strong attention to detail, is energetic and has a strong commercial aptitude.
