Specialising in asphalt, in-situ stabilisation and civil construction AARR is committed to delivering high quality workmanship and building strong customer relationships.
About the role:
Due to new business opportunities across our three service divisions an exciting opportunity has opened for a Sales Estimator to join our expanding Sales Team in capitalising on these growing markets.
Essential qualities you will bring:
You will be a self-motivated sales hunter who has resilience and a drive to succeed in aggressively taking ground in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Take site measurements and photos
- Estimation of works using Accurate sales templates
- Developing solid and trusting relationships with major key clients
- Generate new business opportunities with advanced business knowledge and practices
- Generate leads and turning them into opportunities for sales
- Facilitate face to face appointments with all potential clients
- Maintain a robust sales funnel of opportunities
- Prepare presentations and proposals
- Resolving any key client issues and complaints
- Developing a complete understanding of key account needs
- Managing communications between key clients and internal teams
- Expanding relationships and generating new clients
- Liaison with operations divisions to ensure smooth execution of works
Essential Skills:
- Experience in developing estimates for construction or construction related works
- At least 2 year’s sales/business development experience (business-to-business)
- Strong people skills
- Strong customer focus and a collaborative approach
- Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a diverse and dynamic team and work well under pressure
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite
- Sales ability to reach and exceed key targets
- Availability to travel around the Greater Hunter & surrounding area as required
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience working within a technical presale or sales support position (business-to-business)
- Knowledge and application of CRM software
