About the position:
We are currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated and suitably Sales Estimator to join our operation team. The ideal candidate will participate in various stages of our design and build projects, collaborating with external clients, consultants, and suppliers in addition to our internal teams.
As Sales Estimators your responsibilities will include but be not limited to
- Provide accurate sales estimates as per Pricing of Tenders, Re-tenders and client variations based on supplier rates and margin schedules.
- Prepare accurate sales estimates for tenders and update house and land package pricing as required.
- Provide assistance to the senior estimator in creating a complete and accurate VPB database, while also making sure the estimating team leader is informed of any pricing discrepancies in regard to Master BOQs.
- Review plans, engineers, specifications, schedules, authority requirements and any other relevant documentations ensuring there is no conflicting information when preparing Tenders and variations.
- Liaising with internal departments including sales and projects
To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Appropriate qualifications in the building/ estimating preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role preferred or greater experience within Building Industry preferred
- Prior experience using Estimating software (i.e. Databuild, BuildSoft, Timerbline PlanSwift or similar)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Have effective communications skills.
- A positive attitude and team player temperament
- Ability to prioritise and manage a multiple-tasks at the same time.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
