We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who will excite our customers about our brands. This role sits within the Sales Department and reports to the National Field Sales Manager with the Head Office located in Sydney, NSW.
The purpose of this position is to support our retail customers and ensuring that all De’Longhi brands are represented appropriately in store through the life cycle of a product.
One of the primary functions of this role will be to develop strong relationships with retail customers within their territory. This will include providing in store training of retail staff, merchandising, communication of promotional & marketing initiatives, store planning & assisting stores to manage their stock. You will be responsible for developing strong and effective business relationships with retail key accounts.
A key outcome for this position will be to accelerate sales by ensuring sell through which will contribute to the achievement of set sales budgets.
In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Achieving sales operation for individual sales accounts to achieve budgeted net sales and gross profit targets as set out in the business plan.
- Actively participate as a member of the sales team.
- Actively facilitate and deliver training for retail staff both during work hours and after hours.
- Execute an in store POS program as set out by the marketing department.
- Activate promotional plans for key customers in your territory.
- Manage core ranging in store and undertake merchandising. Replenishment as well as catalogue activity specific to retail customers
- Work closely with internal stakeholder to ensure that delivery of initiatives occurs smoothly
- Report all relevant market issues that may affect sales profitability, keeping the business well informed at all times
- Maintain expenditure within expense budgets for your area through relevant guidelines as set out in the business plan
- Report daily customer plans by utilising the internal reporting system.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong knowledge of Sydney retail environment
- Previous Sales experience, achieving sales targets and expenditure budgets
- Proven experience within a similar role and or the retail environment
- Intermediate computer literacy skills
- Strong Interpersonal, organisational and time management skills.
- Strong ability to prepare and facilitate presentations
- Proven experience of results and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and presentation
- Proven adaptability to work alone or as a team
- Ability to travel and be away from home for long periods of time to meet the needs of the business
- Ability to cover Sydney City/Eastern Suburbs retail stores on a regular basis
This role will require you to be based in an around Eastern Subrbs with daily travel to customers from within the City and surrounding suburbs. As well as regular travel to retail stores in Country/Regional Sydney and occasional travel to the Head Office in Prestons
