Our APAC Energy & Power (E&P), Growth & Sales (G&S) team is thrilled to present this exciting opportunity for Sales Operations Manager to provide pursuit and bid leadership within the E&P market sector across the region. Reporting to the APAC Sales Operations Senior Manager, this role will facilitate opening through to end game, developing account and pursuit-level strategies, win plans, and creative solutions.

Under the guidance of the respective G&S and E&P Operational Leaders, you will work to increase Jacobs’ profile in the market, live our relationship-based sales strategy and support your team to identify opportunities to bring bold, future thinking and smart ideas to our clients.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Champion and lead the implementation of our Relationship-Based Sales (RBS) methodology – especially in Middle Game and End Game for Tier 1 & 2 pursuits.
  • Apply best practice RBS process to pursuits.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Lead and Capture Manager/ Operations in developing distinctive value propositions that enhance our customers’ competitive position.
  • Lead and facilitate interactive and diverse workshops to understand client challenges and develop solutions.
  • Leverage your global network to identify and put forward Jacobs’ unique capabilities and resources.
  • Support the Market Director, Sales Leads and Operations in key Opening Game activities, e.g. client, competitor & market research, development of Core Client Strategies in Client Success Platform (CSP) [Salesforce].
  • For the industry sectors pursued by your team, develop an understanding of our corporate, regional and office qualifications including technical, managerial, commercial and competitive strengths that differentiate Jacobs in the marketplace.
  • Organise, direct and motivate a multidisciplinary pursuit team to develop Middle Game win plans and strategic sales actions and deliverables.
  • Plan, organise and direct all elements of End Game.

Here’s What You Need 

  • You will need to be effective at bringing the ideas of others to market.
  • Have good judgment about which ideas and suggestions will work.
  • An ability to manage the work-winning and creative process of others.
  • An understanding of solution-selling strategies.
  • Previous marketing and/or sales management experience.
  • Previous pursuit/bid/ proposal management experience.
  • An ability to effectively influence and negotiate to achieve a desired outcome.
