Your new role
Reporting to the Queensland State Manager with a reporting line to the General Manager, this role will see you proactively engage with the market and provide exceptional customer service. This role will cover South East Queensland. This role is very customer-centric and will require someone who is able to build strong long-term relationships and is also happy to engage in cold call business development where required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have a proven experience developing new business relationships, maintaining an existing customer base and driving sales through solution-based selling. Ideally, you will have a background within either the civil construction industry, the building and trades industries, or a similar sales field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to new business for the Company by achieving a strong portfolio of profitable new clients
- Farm existing B2B relationships, to capitalise on every opportunity available
- Bring in a high level of professional selling skills to Aplant Hire and be willing to go the extra mile
- Monitor developments in the industry to foresee opportunities for the company
- Be an effective member of the sales team and contribute to strategic decisions
- Ensure relationships are developed across the business with key accounts
- Meet the performance targets and objectives outlined in your KPI’s and budgets
- Producing fortnightly reports
Key Experience/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in new business development.
- Previous experience within the Civil Construction Industry will be looked upon favourably.
- Previous Account Management experience.
- Experience in working in an autonomous environment.
- Competent with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong work ethic and technical skills.
- An ability to work and contribute as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task and manage your time effectively.
- Experience in dealing with Tier 1 Civil Contractors and their compliance requirements will be looked upon favourably.
