About the Role
This exciting opportunity will particularly suit an individual who has worked in Retail with a key focus on customer service and would like to make the switch to a Sales Representative role. Retail food experience would be beneficial however not essential.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful applicant must be passionate about sales and enthusiastic with an energetic professional manner. To succeed in this role you will have excellent customer relationship abilities and well-developed communication skills in order to interact effectively with customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and growing a regular call cycle of existing clients within a territory
- Negotiating volume and distribution execution
- Following up leads, cold calling and managing appointments
- Managing sales plans and daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements
- Achieving targets
- Promoting marketing campaigns, merchandising and other promotional initiatives
- Visiting, booking and managing overnight visits to regional locations
- Self-motivated to work both autonomously and as a team
- Have a natural sense of urgency to achieve growth for the company
To be successful in the role, you will have the following experience:
- FMCG or retail sales experience
- A proven track record in achieving sales targets and KPIs
- Ability to sustain performance and maintain consistency
- Computer literate
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
