In this role, you will look after an existing portfolio of clients, whilst always being on the lookout for new business. Being guided and mentored by a senior Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for achieving annual sales targets while translating features of instruments into benefits that fit prospective customers. Looking after VIC, NSW and NZ, you will gain experience across many demographics.

Description
Reporting to the COO, the responsibilities of this role include:
- Working closely with field service, customer service, and marketing team toward maximising product and service bookings within your territory.
- Proactively prospect, qualify, and visit potential accounts within assigned territory.
- Providing timely and accurate reports and forecasts
- Effectively translates product features and benefits and provides solutions to potential customer applications.
- Responsible for demonstration of company equipment to customers
- Coordinating with the service group to ensure service commitments are properly executed
- Organising and conducting seminars and presentations to customers
- Operating within the guidelines of the policies and procedures of the business
Profile
As well as showing a willingness to learn and grow, the successful candidate will represent the following:
- Understanding of direct sales techniques, preferably in sales of capital equipment or materials testing.
- In-depth knowledge of materials testing applications and/or processes.
- Preferred Bachelor degree, in mechanical, electronics, electrical, engineering or materials science field.
- Experience in using Microsoft programs, namely Excel and Word
- Regular inter-state or international travelling is required.
