Excellent opportunity to join a local plumbing business in an indispensable role.
Scheduling and/or admin experience is an advantage but not a requirement. We need a mature, responsible person with the right personal attributes to be successful in the role. Training will be provided.
Your main responsibilities would be:
- Scheduling and general reception duties (given the nature of the business you may be required to answer some calls out of hours).
- Liaising with plumbers, clients and suppliers to schedule jobs daily and organise materials.
- Responsibility for email replies and upkeep of our online job management system.
- Providing general support to the business owner.
- Assisting in editing and distributing quotes and updates for works.
- Assisting with invoicing, reconciliations and other minor bookkeeping functions as required.
- Covering responsibilities of other team members in times of absence.
You'll need to keep a busy office running smoothly and pick up on the small things that really matter. Part of the role may be spent on all the other adhoc tasks that arise as needed, including basic marketing support, organising team travel and events and other projects.
This role has real potential for learning and growth as the business moves forward. You must have the confidence to make decisions, take ownership of tasks and work independently.
You know you’re right for this role if people describe you as:
- Organised. You are happy making order out of chaos.
- Conscientious and action-oriented. You just get things done.
- Self-confident. Comfortable expressing your opinion and backing yourself to make decisions.
- Collaborative. Always love working as a team.
- Responsible. You take pride in your work and full responsibility for your own tasks.
- Service minded. Think concierge for our clients.
- Practical. A reliable go-to person.
- Detail focussed. You don’t sweat the small stuff but you know how important it is to get right.
- Even keeled. You see the world through a balanced perspective.
Salary depending on experience.
Position is based in Belrose NSW.
You will need:
- previous experience in a similar role (advantage)
- a polished phone manner
- great organisational skills
- willingness to learn
- ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects
