About the role
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, this multi-faceted role will involve the accurate and efficient testing of specimens, quality assurance and instrumentation, as well as other ad-hoc duties as required. This is a hospital stat lab and experience in Transfusion, Haematology, Biochemistry.
To be successful in this role you must have the following:
- A Medical Science degree or Diploma from a recognised Australian Institute
- Experience in Transfusion, Haematology, Biochemistry is highly desirable.
- Be able to participate in a rotating 24 hour, 7 day roster including on call.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments both verbally and written.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work within a team.
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work as part of a collaborative team and contribute to team performance.
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems and scientific instrumentation and equipment
- A professional attitude towards confidentiality.
- Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety processes and procedures
- Sharing the company's vision, cultures and values.
- Current drivers licence and a vehicle.
