Seeking an experienced Secretariat to provide board and Committee Support to a large education provider

Our client is a large tertiary education provider, located south of the river (Perth).
Your new role
Organise and coordinate multiple committee meetings throughout the universitySchedule committee meetings, arrange meeting venues and travel for members as required. Coordinate all prior planning and preparation for meetings including:Research information & prepare briefing materials, reports, agendas, and correspondence advising Committee members of statutory and requirements for meetingsAttend meetings with the chairperson to discuss agenda itemsAttend committee meetings, interpret the decisions of the Committee and prepare minutes that articulate the issues under discussion to guide Committee decisions that meet statutory, reporting, policy, and management requirements.Coordinate, monitor and follow up on outstanding actions following each committee meeting.Support the Chair and Committee on governance, legal, statutory and policy requirements.Understand governance and statutory issues relevant to each Committee in relation to a Committee’s constitution and associated policies.Provide induction and training pertaining to governance, legal, statutory and policy requirements as and when required.Maintain a database of committees, including but not limited to membership and members, and current term and term expiry/renewal dates.Represent Governance Services on university working parties and projects, providing governance expertise when requested by the Director, University Governance and Council Secretary.Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above. What you'll need to succeed Previous secretariat experience is essentialPrior experience supporting board and committee meetingsPrevious experience within a tertiary education provider is desirable.Strong attention to detail, time management and communication skillsProficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and board management tools is desirable.A current police clearance, dated within the past 3 months (or willing to obtain
